Closure of Sussex Place Surgery

Following a consultation process held earlier in the year and with the approval of Slough Clinical Commissioning Group, we write to inform you that The Sussex Place Surgery will close on Thursday 25th January 2018.

All patients will remain registered with the practice and will be able to access medical services at The Village Medical Centre, 45 Mercian Way, Cippenham, Slough SL1 5ND.

All existing telephone numbers will be valid and will get you through to the practice, however the phone numbers for The Village Medical Centre are 01628 660151 or 01628 660788.

We will be offering a limited number of appointments at The Bharani Medical Centre, 16-18 Lansdown Avenue, Slough SL1 3SJ for patients who will find it difficult to travel to The Village Medical Centre. These appointments will be offered when calling The Village Medical Centre and patients should not contact The Bharani Medical Centre directly to make an appointment. Please do not attend the Bharani Medical Centre without an appointment as you will not be seen by a doctor.

As a result of the consolidation we will be offering additional early morning and evening appointments, details of which will be advertised in the surgery and on the website in due course.

Patients that usually requested repeat prescriptions from The Sussex Place Surgery by fax will no longer be able to do so following the closure and should use the fax number 01628 661907 for future requests. Alternatively if you would like to register with the onsite pharmacy, they are able to accept telephone requests for prescriptions as well as offering a FREE delivery service. The Village Pharmacy telephone number is 01628 663690 and the e-mail address is

Plans to extend The Village Medical Centre are well advanced and we hope to be able to provide more detail in the next few months.

If however as a result of the closure you wish to find out about alternative GP practices please visit the NHS Choices website via Alternatively, you can contact NHS England’s Customer Contact Centre on 0300 311 2233 for information on GP practices closest to where you live.
